Buoys Placed to Help Protect Manasota Key Offshore Archaeological Site

Published: The Florida Department of State announced today that buoys have been placed at the corners of the Manasota Key Offshore archaeological to mark the area. Gulf Coast Community Foundation provided funds to expedite the purchase and installation of these buoys as part of the plan to protect this sensitive and unique cultural resource.

Gulf Coast Approves $5.8 Million in Grants

Published: Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s Board of Directors approved over $5.8 million in grants and scholarships at its June meeting. The funding included over $3.8 million in grants from donor advised funds, as well as $508,000 in scholarship awards.
